For more than 25 years The Rug & Carpet Studio has specialised in all aspects of handmade rugs – from sourcing, weaving reproductions to restoring and conserving rugs and carpets.

We offer the finest selection of handmade rugs and carpets all individually selected for quality and artistic merit.   If you admire handmade rugs, you will know each one is unique and is brought to life by artisans who have passed on their skills through the generations.

Finding antique or new carpets in the correct combination of size, colour and design, takes time and expertise.  With our knowledge of traditional rugs artisanship, and the whole of the industry at our fingertips, we can source the finest rugs and carpets of their kind from around the globe.

We specialise in custom reproductions and can recreate a carpet from an original historic design.   We have successfully made carpets for the National Trust and Historic House members.

Our conservators have many years’ experience in the field of carpet conservation and have built a reputation for providing dedicated conservation treatments to European and Oriental rugs and carpets, including French Aubussons and Axminster carpets.
