Humphries Weaving
Humphries Weaving is a renowned British fabric manufacturer that has earnt an international reputation for designing and weaving fine furnishings. We have a back catalogue of nearly 50 years of client projects and historical restorations, combing our expertise and academic research with evolving weaving techniques to produce impeccable fabric design. We pride ourselves on having the imagination to deliver a client’s vision; our patience, knowledge and expertise of colour, design and woven construction guides us to create accurate historic reproductions and innovative contemporary textiles.
Our clients are welcome to use our extensive archive of historically accurate designs, and we also specialise in restoring textiles which are hundreds of years old. We are frequently piecing together fragments of cloth and analysing the original colour to authentically recreate the fabric as it originally would have been woven. As well as curators and academic historians we also work with high end decorators and private individuals, weaving all of our fabrics at our site in Sudbury, on the Essex / Suffolk boarder. If you have a project in mind please do get in contact.
