Over the last fifty years CSC Window Films & Blinds Ltd have been asked to work within certain light parameter for many National Trust properties. One of the more interesting projects was at Osterley Park, where the House & Collections Manager Ffion George was looking to protect not only the furnishings but also flooring whilst also using a new type of Blind that allows visitors to see the beautiful gardens without jeopardising the light control inside.
A combination of Spectrally Selective Window Film UVX75, Black Out Blinds and Vision Sunscreen Blinds (Utilising a unique double blind system) was the soloution to the issue and due to the success of the projects many other National Trust properties have adopted similar systems within their properties.
CSC are the only solar control specialist to follow the National Trust Code of Practice for Collections Conservation in Situ.
