The London Gardens Trust is a charity with a big mission to champion London’s historic parks, gardens, squares and green spaces for the benefit of everyone. We do this by:

  • Researching and recording in our Inventory the history of green spaces across the capital. We make this information publicly available for free on our website.
  • Campaigning and making comments to ensure the interests of historic green spaces are fully accounted for in the planning process.
  • Running events which have included walks, talks Open Garden Squares Weekend – a major annual celebration of London’s hidden green spaces that has generated the vital funds we rely on the rest of the year. We are currently running an online Winter Lecture Series in partnership with the Gardens Trust which is open to anyone who is interested in learning more through the varied programme of talks we are offering.
